Privacy Policy

Stack the Ship ("the game") is developed and published by OffByThree LLC ("OffByThree", "we"). This policy explains what information the game handles, and who it is shared with. The short version: none of it leaves your device. The game has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics, and it does not send anything anywhere.

Information the game stores

Game progress — your career best, your time trial best, your Daily Harbor history and streak, how many runs you have played, and your music and sound settings — is saved locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to us, and uninstalling the game deletes it.

The device identifier

On first launch the game generates a random identifier and stores it alongside your progress. It is created on your device, it is not derived from anything about you or your hardware, and this release never transmits it. It exists so that a future version could offer head-to-head play without needing an account. Uninstalling the game deletes it.

The game does not use the network

Stack the Ship plays entirely offline. Every image, sound and piece of code it needs is installed with it, and the published version contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no update or content-delivery service. It makes no requests to us or to anyone else, so there is no traffic from which anything about you could be recorded.

Purchase

Stack the Ship is a paid app, bought once through Google Play. The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play and we never receive your payment details. Google Play records that you own the game so it can be reinstalled on your devices. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13. Since it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If a future release ever adds something that sends data off your device, this policy will say so before that version ships.
